

The Wolfsangel is a heraldic symbol depicting a medieval hunting tool. During WW II it was widely used by the Nazis in emblems mainly but not only by the Waffen-SS. Displaying it in public in Germany can be prohibited.
Usage after WW II
Ukraine
The Wolfsangel is part of the logo of the ultra nationalist party Patriot of Ukraine „Swoboda“ (Всеукраїнське об’єднання «Свобода») and the Bataillon Asow (including a Black Sun), which later became Regiment Asow when integrated into the official Ukrainian armed forces during the war against the Russian invasion. The Black sun was removed from the logo then.
The Karelian National Battalion, a pro-Ukrainian volunteer battalion formed in January 2023, features a Wolfsangel in the middle of the battalion’s insignia.
USA
The Wolfsangel is part of the logo of the Neo-Nazi organization Aryan Nation.
Italy
The Wolfsangel was used by the far right movement Terza Posizione.
Germany
The Wolfsangel the symbol of the Neo-Nazi organization Junge Front, which was banned in 1982.
