Band

On the 20th of March 2007, Taake was to play a show in Essen, Germany. Hoest appeared on stage with a swastika painted to his chest and was then removed from the club. In the first statement the next morning, he called the club owner „Untermensch“, which is a Nazi term for what they considered to be inferior human beings, and told him to „suck a Muslim“.

In later interviews, Hoest stated that he was drunk and made a mistake, and that Taake is not a Nazi band whatsoever but its concept is based on provocation. He could not be positive towards Nazism since they were enemies of his home country during WW II.
