The bandlogo shows a swastika with the bandname in the middle.
The band partly releases much of its music via Finnish RAC label Sakaramiina Records.
The band released songtitles such as „Veri ja maa“ (Blood and soil), „Mun maa“ (My land), „Apinajahti“ (Monkey hunt), „Ei maata ilman kansaa“ (No country without people), „Valkoinen kapinahenki“ (White spirit of rebellion), „Vapaussota 18“ (Freedom war 18, right-wing way of referring to the finnish civil war), „Suomen SS-sankarit“ (Finland’s SS heroes) and so on. The band has also recorded covers of other RAC bands such as Sniper, Mistreat, No Remorse and Bully Boys.
The band appeared on the ‚RAC-Covers: Propagandaa‘ compilation released by the Finnish NS-label Sakaramiina Records in 2021, along with RAC / NS bands Mistreat, Pagan Skull, Goatmoon, Puhdistus, Korpisota, Holokausti SS and Hate Oath.
The band appeared on the ‚Suomesta Veljille Ukrainian‘ (‚From Finland to the Brothers in Ukraine‘) compilation, released by European Iron Fist in 2022, along with other NS bands.
The band appeared on the NS compilation ‚Fifty Years Of Not Giving A Fuck – A Tribute To Muke From Mistreat‘ relased in 2022 by NS label D88.
Members
Mikko Pöyhönen is also the person behind fascist Neofolk project Pyhä Kuolema.
Mikko Aspa is active in the (Finnish) NSBM scene. He sells NS merch in his shop in Finland and releases NS music via his labels Northern Heritage and Freak Animal Records and it’s sublabels.
Appearances
The Band played the NSBM festival Apocalyptic Rites in Finland in 2017, 2018, 2023 and 2025.
On 7th October 2016, Vapaudenristi played a support gig for Jesse Eppu Torniainen, a member of the NS-organization Nordic Resistance Movement (in Finland: Pohjoismainen Vastarintaliike), who was convicted for killing a bystander during one of the NRM rallies who was not agreeing with the NRM rallying. Also playing on that event were NS bands Goatmoon, Mistreat, Civic Duty and Marder.
On October 8th 2016, the band played a show in Helsinki, Finland, along with the NSBM band Goatmoon.
On December 6th 2017, the band played on the after-party of the fascist 612 rally, along with RAC band Sankar´hauta and Pyhä Kuolema. The flyer for this event showed a Celtic Cross. The same event took place exact one year later, again with Vapaudenristi and this time RAC bands Pagan Skull and Civic Duty.
The band played the NSBM festival Alemfest in 2017, an event organized by the NSBM band Goatmoon.
The band played the „Obscurex“ events in Vantaa, Finland twice in 2018 and 2019, along NS bands / projects like Zyklon SS, Bizarre Uproar and Ride for Revenge.
