Band

The band is openly supporting the ideology of National Socialism with lyrics, artwork and live performances. The cover of the ‚Live At Manalan Yö III‘ album shows the band playing in front of a NSDAP-style swastika flag. Flyers and announcements are often illustrated with NS symbolism like swastikas, black suns etc. Linked article shows Lähde doing the Nazi salute on stage at Steelfest 2016 (and the crowd returning the salute).

The band releases music via labels specialized in NS music, such as Werewolf Records, Bestial Burst, New Era Productions, Darker Than Black, No Sign of Life, Filth And Violence, Out of the Dungeon, Sakaramiina, D88 or Death Cult Recordings.

The band appeared on the ‚Voices from the underground #12‘ compilation of the NSBM-themed Ablaze Magazine, along with other NSBM acts such as Order of the Death’s Head and Ungern.

The band appeared on the ‚Black Metal Tribute to Skrewdriver‘ in 2014, along with other NS bands, covering the Song ‚White Power‘.

The band appeared on the NS compilation ‚Fifty Years Of Not Giving A Fuck – A Tribute To Muke From Mistreat‘ relased in 2022 by NS label D88. The song cosen for this was ‚I Hate Faggots‘.

In 2013 and 2014, some lyrics were written by Thomas Kosmas. He is member of the Greek fascist ‘Chrysi Avgi’ (Χρυσή Αυγή) party. He runs the NS label Totenkopf Propaganda. He was part of the NSBM band Der Stürmer (1998 – 2014) and live / session bassist for the NSBM band Absurd (2017 – 2020). He contributed to the NSBM bands Capricornus, Goatpenis and Satanic Warmaster.

The band organized the NSBM event Alemfest in Helsinki, Finland, which took place in 2017 and 2018.

Members

Jaakko Lähde is also drummer for the Finnish NSBM band Hammer and the Finnish RAC band Mistreat. He was also drummer for the RAC band Marder and for the NSBM band Uskonrauha (2014-2016).

Live drummer Avenger is also part of the NSBM band Uskonrauha and the Finnish BM band White Death. He was also session drummer for the NSBM-band Hammer (aka A.V.) and the BM band Ride for Revenge.

Live guitarist Sami Tenetz owns the label KVLT, its NS-shop in Helsinki and its NSBM sublabel No Sign of Life.

Live bassist Janne Moilanen is also part of the RAC band Marder and live-guitarist for the NSBM-band Fatherland.

Sami Kettunen and The Unnatural are part of the NSBM-band Uskonrauha. Sami Kettunen owns the NSBM label Bestial Burst.

In 2008 the band participated in the ‚Carelian Pagan Madness‘ Tour with NSBM bands Satanic Warmaster, Der Stürmer and Absurd, organized by the Pagan Front. (concert flyer / news article)

In December 2012, the band did a show with the NS Noise project Xenophobic Ejaculation in Helsinki.

The band played the NSBM-friendly Black Flames of Blasphemy festival in Finland in 2012.

In August 2013, the band played the ‚Nordic Summer Fest‘, arranged by Blood & Honour. The band played in front of a NSDAP-style swastika flag.

The band played the Finnish Steelfest in 2013, 2014 and 2016, a festival where established bands are deliberately booked along with NSBM / far right extremist bands.

The band played the NSBM festival Manalan Yö on August 23rd 2014 in Tampere, Finland, along with Ride for Revenge, White Death and Axeslaughter. The festival logo contains a Black Sun. Live footage of the Goatmoon gig shows the band playing in front of NSDAP swastika flags.

On September 27th 2014, the band played a show in Helsinki, Finland. A live photo of that event shows band and audience doing Nazi salutes.

The band played the NSBM festival Hot Shower in Italy in 2014 and 2016.

On March 5th 2016, the band played a show in Helsinki, along with the NS bands Stormheit, Aurinkopyörä and Pyhä Kuolema. A flyer for that event was illustrated with marching German Wehrmacht soldiers in WWII.

On 7th October 2016, Goatmoon played a support gig for Jesse Eppu Torniainen, a member of the NS-organization Nordic Resistance Movement (in Finland: Pohjoismainen Vastarintaliike), who was convicted for killing a bystander during one of the NRM rallies who was not agreeing with the NRM rallying. Also playing on that event were NS bands Vapaudenristi, Mistreat, Civic Duty and Marder.

On October 8th 2016, the band played a show in Helsinki, Finland, along with the RAC band Vapaudenristi.

On October 15th 2016, the band played the NSBM event ‚Pimeys Yllä Pyhan Maan‘ (‚Darkness over the Holy Land‘) in Lappeenranta, Finland, along with Leichenzug, Horna, White Death, Sielunvihollinen, and Nekokrist SS.

The band played the NSBM festival Apocalyptic Rites in Finland in 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022.

The band played and organized the NSBM Festival Alemfest in Helsinki, Finland in 2017 and 2018.

The band played the NSBM festival Call of Terror in France in 2017 and 2019.

The band played the NSBM festival Asgardsrei in Ukraine in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

The band played a show in Kyjiw in December 2017, together with Absurd, Peste Noire and Naer Mataron.

On May the 6th 2017, the band played a clandestine NSBM show in southern Finland, along with Dark Fury and Uncreation’s Dawn, who replaced Circle of Dawn on the lineup. The event was called ‚Polska-Suomi Waffenbrüder‘ and was organized by the NS collective ‚Veriyhteis‘. An event flyer was illustrated with a burning mosque.

On May 13th, 2017 the band played in Saxony, Germany a secret NSBM gig with Stahlfront and White Death and Artam, organized by the NS concert group ‚Neuschwabenland Konzerte‘

On February 24th, 2018, the band played a clandestine NSBM show in a clubhouse of the Hammerskin support group ‚Crew 38‘ in Jyväskylä, Finland, along with Goats of Doom and Circle of Dawn (‚Heretic Winter Night‘).

The band played a NSBM show in Jyväskylä, Finland, on 23.03.2019, with NSBM bands Forlor, Aryan Hammer and Fatherland.

On April 30th 2019, the band played an NSBM concert in Vantaa, Finland, along with Barathrum and Azazel. The event was organized by the NS-shop „Horror Shop“ in Vääksy, Finland. The flyer for this event showed a crossed crow, referring to the Finnish antifascist Varis network (varis is finnish for crow).

The band played the ‚Night of Solar Darkness‘ event in the NS-club ‚Gradus White Club‘ in Verona on the 26.10.2024, along with NS bands Frangar and SPQR. Merch of this event displays a black sun (Venue’s instagram).

The band played the NSBM event ‚Storm over Argentum‘ in May 2025 in Buenos Aires, along with NSBM bands Dark Fury, Der Stürmer, Command, Stolzkrieg and Espiritismo.
