Band

Azorgh releases much of his music via NSBM or NSBM distributing labels, such as GoatowaRex, Winterreich Productions, Asgard Musik, Hammer of Damnation, Zyklon-B Productions, Werewolf Records, Tour de Garde, Darker Than Black, Signal Rex and his own label Dark Adversary Records.

A demo from 2007 was called ‚Defenders of the Aryan Race‘ and was limited to 88 copies. The cover shows Azorgh doing a Nazi salute. One song was called ‚Blitzkrieg over Israel‘. The demo was re-released by GoatowaRex as part of a compilation in 2016.

The 2007 ‚Flames of Sacrifice‘ contains a Waffen-SS Death’s Head in the Artwork. The cassette edition of Winterreich Productions also contains a Black Sun.

The ‚Dungeon Rehearsal‘ demo from 2008 contains a track called ‚Back to the Gas Chamber‘

The 2009 vinyl relase of ‚The Masters Empire‘ by Zyklon-B Productions shows the Death’s Head of the Waffen-SS in the Artwork.

The cover of the 2009 cassette edition of ‚Of Celtic Blood and Satanic Pride‘ by Hammer of Damnation shows Azgorh posing in front of a Waffen-SS Death’s Head.

On the 2011 ‚Oceans of Eternity‘ album and the 2015 ‚From the Abyss‘ albums, some lyrics were written by the known Neonazi Hendrik Möbus (e.g. Absurd / Darker Than Black).

On April 8th 2024, Azgorh released a lengthy statement on social media, addressing the allegations of DtL being an NSBM band and Dark Adversary Productions being an NSBM label. He basically claims band and label being non-political and lashes out at everyone thinking otherwise. There is no mention of the NS-symbolism and lyrics of the early phase of the band.

Members

Azgorh is part of the NSBM band Wolfblood. He was behind the NS music project Reich of the Black Sun (2011) and he was part of the NSBM band Eternum (2007 – 2014). He contributed guest vocals to the NSBM band Evil (2015). He owns the label Dark Adversary Productions which releases NS music.

Luke Mills was part of the NSBM band Anwariad (2000 – 2001). He contributed artwork to the NSBM band Eternum (2013).

Jarmed was part of the NSBM bands Kill the Kristians (2001 – 2005) and Goatblood (2017 – 2018). He owns the NSBM label Asgard Musik.

Nightwolf was part of the NSBM bands Blood Stronghold (2014 – 2023) and Eternum (2007 – 2014).

Molestor Kadotus was part of the NSBM project Trotzreich. He owned the label Hammer of Hate records which released NSBM.

Joakim Kuotesaho is also part of the live setup of the NSBM-band Goatmoon. He runs a NSBM-project named after himself (Stormheit) and was also involved in NSBM band Der Stürmer.

Ville Pystynen is the main character behind the bands Horna and Sargeist. He released NSBM music via his label Grievantee Productions, e.g. Hammer in 2008 (the album ‚Shoax‘, obviously a mix of the words ‚Shoah‘ and ‚Hoax‘), Kristallnacht (2006) and Raven Dark (2006). He released music of his solo projects via NSBM labels: Pagan War Distro (Necroslut, 2021), Northern Sky Productions (Vritra, 2006), Winterreich Productions (Gandr, 2009). The cover of Gandr’s 2011 album ‚Talvitunnelmia‘ shows Pystynen wearing merch of the NSBM band Peste Noire. He was part of a NSBM band called Blutschrei which existed until 2008 and then turned into his still active band Finnentum where Pystynen is the only member. He was part of the band Vordr together with Lars Holm of the NSBM band Satanic Warmaster. He is part of the current live setup of the BM band Nightbringer. He recorded the album ‘Kings of Misery’ for the band Incriminated which consisted of NSBM musicians. He is credited as engineer on the 2005 Satanic Warmaster album ‚Black Metal Kommando / Gas Chamber‘. During the 2000ers, Pystynen tended to use NS codes in interviews / social media and to give racist / antisemitic / anti-muslim or even openly NS statements in public, but apparently has stopped doing so since years.

Appearances

On March 6th 2009, the band played a show with the NS bands Arghoslent and Hammer in Kouvola, Finland. The next day, the same show did take place in Tampere, this time joined by Satanic Warmaster.
